6 boats to make a racing class, 8 boats to make a US-1 class.
The event will be a US-1 program utilizing format 4 in the rule book. Trophy Trials (1/16 mile SAW and 1/3 mile Oval Time Trials events) will be held followed by National Champion Heat Racing events to determine the US-1 winners. Since Huntsville is a surveyed pond site, official IMPBA records may be set during the Time Trial portion of the competition. This format offers the best challenges of both worlds. Heat racing will be the final 4 days with classes scheduled on specific days and allows racers that just want to compete for National Champion to enjoy some of the best heat racing offered.
Open Water will be available each afternoon for classes running the next day (time and weather permitting)
