I would like to thank you for taking the job of IMPBA Secretary. There is NO ONE as important as you are in all of IMPBA. The President might say he is, but trust me, he is not! I know this from experience. You will find out over time that model boaters can be some of the nicest, kindest and most thoughtful people in the world. Some will email or call you just to thank you for sending them their membership card in 2 weeks time or paperwork for their club. Then there are the phone calls at 11 or 12 at night ( from the left coast )from someone needing something and they didn't think about the time difference. IMPBA is like a business. As long as it is run like a business you will not have any trouble fitting right in. It is not a part time job. However, you can take coffee breaks when you want to and eat lunch when you want to. It doesn't hurt to be friendly with the people in the local Post Office, either. You are the boss. You run the show. Don't forget to tell Chris that I said that.
I know that you will do a great job. I look forward to meeting you next year, and wish you well in the years to come.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and Chris,

Dick Tyndall
